Where NitroGuard IPS protects external paths to your data, NitroView DBM monitors the source itself, protecting sensitive corporate and customer data - whether application-based, from users, malware, utilities, "back-doors," queries, LAMP scripting, ODBC, etc., - to ensure a proactive approach to data security.

NitroView DBM captures such metrics as the login name, client IP, violation type, the SQL query, and even whether the query succeeded or failed. IT managers get policy-driven alerts and have detailed knowledge of who is accessing what and when—pinpointing inappropriate access, alerting upon detection and taking direct action to enforce policies and prevent sensitive data leakage. NitroView DBM can terminate user sessions to prevent unauthorized applications, users or networks from accessing the data.

NitroView DBM's reporting includes a schema and dynamic sorting feature, along with advanced filtering, storage and searching, making it easier than ever to provide required reports, resulting in enhanced data efficiency. Reports can be customized scheduled, emailed or written to file-shares in popular formats such as pdf, html, xml and csv.

Network-based database monitoring ensures zero-impact to your core data (and the applications that access that data). Rather than using processor cycles on your database server, NitroGuard sits on the network next to your server, monitoring traffic for suspicious activity, transactions, logins, etc. However, for those companies requiring an agent-based system—such as environments where the console and database cohabit a server—NitroView DBM is available as a host-based database monitor, as well. Either way, your data is being watched: activity is logged for compliance, and alerts are sent to NitroView ESM for analysis, correlation, and forensic operations.
